Lido di Spina (Ferrara), August 2, 2026 – Another sea tragedy, another drowning on the first Sunday of August. Everything happened at Lido Estensi, around 6:15 PM, nothing could be done by the impressive rescue operation that intervened as soon as the alarm was raised to save the life of a 52-year-old swimmer, despite 50 minutes of resuscitation efforts. All in vain as the doctor could only confirm the death.

The tragedy between Pineta and Cocoa baths
We are in the sea area between the Pineta and Cocoa baths, in front of a very crowded beach. Some bathers called for help to the lifeguards of Alto Adriatiko, for a person floating lifeless in the area of the red buoys.

The victim residing in Conselice
The lifeguards’ boat was there in a few moments, the man – Angelo Aulico, originally from Palermo and residing in Conselice – did not move, he was brought ashore while the emergency services had already been alerted, dispatched with an ambulance and a medical helicopter that never landed. The Coast Guard was also on site, called to reconstruct the entire event. Every action was unfortunately in vain for the 52-year-old, probably already dead before the rescue. He had gone down to swim with his daughter who had returned to the beach shortly before, leaving the father to take one last swim. Which proved fatal. The prosecutor has already authorized the release of the body to the family for the final farewell.
