Vicenza, August 13, 2026 – The two spouses aged 71 and 66 years found dead in their home in Fara Vicentino (Vicenza) had been dead for at least ten days. The alarm was raised to the carabinieri, who arrived on the scene along with the Vicenza Investigative Unit, by the woman’s sister who had not heard from her for over a week.
From here the decision to intervene with the firefighters and the Suem 118 medical staff. The bodies were in an advanced state of decomposition and this made it difficult to determine if there were signs of violence or other elements. Hence the decision to proceed with the autopsy on both bodies, which will clarify not only the causes of death but also any trauma.
Husband and wife lived in an isolated house on Via Stadio in the small municipality of Vicenza. Every lead is currently open, including that of the extreme act. From the first findings, the involvement of third parties is also excluded.
