Pesaro, August 13, 2026 – “As long as I am alive, you will be my hairdresser.” More than a promise, almost an investiture. This is what Iva Zanicchi said to Andrea Campisi, a hairdresser from Pesaro who for almost ten years has taken care of the Eagle of Ligonchio’s hair at her most important appointments, from Sanremo to television.
A promise destined to resist even the announced farewell of the singer to concerts. Iva has decided that 2026 will be the year she will stop live performances, but she will not disappear from the scene at all: she will continue to do television and guest appearances. And when it comes to getting ready in front of the cameras, her hairdresser will still come from Pesaro.
“She told me on the last night of Sanremo”
The phrase that Campisi remembers today dates back precisely to the last night spent together at Sanremo.
“She told me: ‘As long as I am alive, you will be my hairdresser’ – Campisi recounts –. And I replied that I hoped it would be for as long as possible: another hundred years.”
A relationship that now goes far beyond a simple professional collaboration. Campisi is not the hairdresser called occasionally for an evening: for years he has been Iva’s point of reference for color, hairstyles, and preparation for her public appointments.
“She will end her concert career in 2026, so she will no longer sing – Campisi clarifies – but she will continue with television and guest appearances. As long as she works and needs me for her hair and color, I will always be there.”

From Sanremo to Rimini, a partnership lasting ten years
It also happened a few days ago in Rimini, where Campisi reached Zanicchi to prepare her for the “Terrazza della Dolce Vita” event. On social media, the hairdresser from Pesaro posted behind-the-scenes images accompanied by a few words: “In Rimini, among beauty, emotions, and special encounters. With Iva, a timeless icon, at Simona Ventura’s event.”
And in the photos, here he is again dealing with one of the most recognizable hairstyles in Italian show business: bright blonde, roots lifted, great volume, and soft curls on the lengths. An important hairstyle, with a hold that suggests a generous alliance with hairspray.
After all, Iva has never wanted to compromise on volume.
That request: “Make me the big hairdo the way I like it”
The collaboration began almost ten years ago, at the time of “Selfie – Le cose cambiano,” a program hosted by Simona Ventura herself. And at the beginning, the Eagle of Ligonchio’s instructions were unequivocal.
“She used to tell me: ‘Make me the volume and the big hairdo the way I like it’,” Campisi tells Carlino. Then, having gained the singer’s trust, greater creative freedom followed. Provided, of course, that the volume was never missing.
In 2022, the hairdresser from Pesaro followed her throughout the Sanremo Festival, when Zanicchi returned to compete with “Voglio amarti,” taking care of her look also on the cover night. In February 2025 Iva wanted him again at the Ariston for one of the most emotional moments of her very long career, the Career Award. For that occasion, Campisi had designed an elegant and sophisticated updo.
Iva says goodbye to concerts, but not to her hairdresser
Now another turning point is approaching. The farewell to concerts will close a chapter in Zanicchi’s artistic history, but not her relationship with Campisi. Because TV and guest appearances will continue, and that promise made at Sanremo does not seem to have an expiration date. And the trip to Rimini also gave the hairdresser from Pesaro a small final twist. “There I met Simona Ventura for the first time – he recounts –. I made her try shampoo and mask, and she was very happy. The next day she asked me to style her hair too.”
Not only that. “We agreed that when I go to Iva to take care of her hair and color, I will also stop by Simona’s.”
In short, Campisi had left Pesaro to fix his most loyal client and returned with a new head to conquer. But on Iva’s head, by now, there is a promise: as long as she is there, so will her hairdresser from Pesaro.
