Albarella (Rovigo), August 20, 2026 — A horse flight on the beach, the sand, the fear and then the first thing to do: check that Pongo was okay. It was a hectic morning for Belén Rodríguez, who was the protagonist of a disastrous fall during a sunrise ride on the island of Albarella, in the Veneto territory of Rosolina. The Argentine showgirl was on horseback when the horse put a hoof in a hole hidden by the sand, suddenly losing footing. Belén was thrown from the saddle, flew several meters and ended up on the shore, rolling on the sand.

The scene was captured from above by a drone and a few hours later was published by Rodríguez herself on social media. An impressive video, showing the moment of the fall and the immediate reaction of the showgirl, able to get up quickly and reach Pongo to check the animal’s condition. It was then Belén herself, through some Instagram stories, who first recounted what happened. The day had started before five in the morning, with the departure from the riding school to reach the beach and ride at first light. Then the accident, sudden and unpredictable. “Guys, I took a flight, a real flight!”, she said still shaken but smiling, explaining that Pongo, the horse assigned to her, had stumbled into a hole hidden by the sand.
The important lessons from Father Gustavo
No serious consequences, fortunately, neither for her nor for the animal. What Belén had learned from Father Gustavo, who taught her how to handle a fall from a horse, also helped avoid worse consequences. “Going with the movement, rolling and doing a somersault,” explained the showgirl, describing her reaction as almost a ‘Dragon Ball’ scene. Her thought, immediately after the fall, went especially to Pongo: p”An injury to a horse can have very serious consequences,” the model emphasized, explaining why, as soon as she got up, she reached the animal to check that it was not hurt. Once the scare was over, Rodríguez also got back on the horse, completing the ride.

The Instagram video to joke about it
In the afternoon came the second part of the story. Belén had promised her followers that she would retrieve the footage recorded by the drone and show it, calling what she had just experienced her first real fall from a horse. Promise kept: the video appeared on her profile, accompanied by the phrase “Rule number 1: always get up”. A message that also became a way to lighten the incident and thank Pongo for the adrenaline and emotions experienced during that sunrise ride.
