From the barn, at number 174, a column of smoke suddenly rose and the flames quickly spread until they engulfed the entire structure. The alarm was immediately raised and firefighters from Faenza rushed to the scene with three vehicles, the Radiomobile carabinieri, and an ambulance from 118.

The firefighters contained and extinguished the fire in about two hours, then proceeded with the stability checks of the warehouse.

It is reported that an intentional origin has been ruled out. The fire actually developed while a heavy downpour was underway, and so according to a first hypothesis it could have been a lightning strike hitting the warehouse that caused the blaze. Fortunately, no one was inside the structure involved in the flames. However, the damage was severe, both to the barn and to the agricultural vehicles contained inside.
