Modena, August 28, 2026 – With memory, one could travel far into history. Let’s limit ourselves to the last three, or maybe four, years.
There have certainly been unforgettable victories, for example the 3-0 against Parma in 2024, Ferrara’s breakthrough under Tesser the previous season, or the magical night in Venice a few months ago. However, without beating around the bush, those who had the pleasure (and probably the honor) of sitting at the «Zini» or comfortably on their home sofa witnessed the best Modena of this short generation, since the return to Serie B.
The Canaries are having fun. And a lot
Whatever will happen, will happen. It is still August. But if it is true that ideas make the difference, Galloppa has clearly conveyed them to the players at his disposal and no matter how rough the path will be, Modena will always face it this way, regardless of the results. And, for now, it is nice like this. The Canaries are having fun, a lot.
The new coach’s proposal is liked, both for quality and mental interpretation; without the right attitude, you don’t even work on tactics. That’s why, in the market, work has been done in this direction without chasing names, salaries, demands, and prohibitive dreams.
Student Galloppa beats master Giampaolo
In Cremona, the student beats the master. These won’t be easy weeks for Giampaolo, but that’s another story. With a 4-3-3 that soon turned into 3-4-3 with Tonoli everywhere and the two wingers always attacking, Modena takes possession and command of every operation within fifteen minutes.
Opposite, a Cremonese with big names but clearly struggling with the classic psychological “down” after relegation, which is a dangerous detail for those with other ambitions. Galloppa launches the three midfielders; there is none in the middle of the field. Bianco plays a great game in both phases, allowing Brugman to free vertical plays, collected by Ambrosino who continuously leaves the possibility for Caso and Olzer to insert themselves. It seems very easy to tell, but to see it is a mechanism that currently works.
What a show Olzer
Olzer paints two incredible goals. Huge quality in touch and finishing. Caso’s hat-trick is a cherry on top signed by Ambrosino, while Brugman was brilliant on the 1-0. Warning to the navigators. There will be fun. A small postscript (because otherwise, everything would be perfect) must be made ahead of the first home game. Now, Modena will have to pass the «Braglia» test where they will find teams that will almost certainly wait and the space will have to be woven patiently. But, everything will be studied in due time. What was seen yesterday is among the most beautiful evenings a Canary fan could have experienced recently. And it matters little that it is only August, when ideas make the difference.
