Bologna, July 15, 2026 – Truck on fire on the ring road and traffic at a standstill. The fire broke out while the trailer was heading towards Casalecchio. Suddenly, the vehicle’s tarpaulin caught fire, causing a very high column of fire visible also from the Pescarola area and Lame. The firefighters rushed to the scene to extinguish the flames. With them, also the police with a patrol from the Bologna south highway subsection. According to reports, the vehicle’s driver was not injured.
Just a few days ago, another fire had frightened the citizens, in that case on via Luca della Robbia: the flames started from a scooter parked in the courtyard of a building. However, the flames from the vehicle soon spread, reaching and affecting an apartment on the ground floor of the condominium.
