Riccione, July 17, 2026 – It is one of those stories that touch the heart and make you believe in love again, despite the much pain that everyday life has accustomed us to endure. The story of Fabrizio and Maria Angela is a story born – like many others – under the umbrella of a beach in Riccione. But while many of these loves last only the span of a summer and are lost in the sand, their union has instead taken root so deeply as to defy time.

Awarded after 47 years of uninterrupted fidelity
Fabrizio Pacifici, originally from Terni, and his wife Maria Angela, who came from Soresina, in the province of Cremona, were awarded yesterday morning, after celebrating 47 years of uninterrupted fidelity by the Tourism Councillor Mattia Guidi.
The councillor presented the couple with the prestigious certificate of “Ambassadors of Riccione in the world,” a recognition created to express the deep esteem and gratitude of the municipal administration for their constant affection.
The love story begins in 1979
It all began in the summer of 1979 under the umbrella of bagno Ettore 68. He was twenty, she was eighteen. Between a swim in the sea, a chat on the shore, and the magic of the Riviera, love at first sight struck. A love so overwhelming that the following year, in 1980, the two very young people decided to get married. From that moment, Riccione was no longer just a holiday destination, but became the place of the heart, the stage where every summer Fabrizio and Maria Angela choose to return to celebrate their first meeting.

The love promise renewed every year
Today, almost half a century later, that love promise continues to be renewed every year always at bagno Ettore 68, but with a wonderful new setting: the family has grown and traveling with them are children and grandchildren, who have inherited the same visceral love for the city.
Ambassadors of Riccione in the world
Fabrizio and Maria Angela have become over time true ambassadors of the Green Pearl of the Adriatic, promoting the hospitality and beauty of Riccione among friends and acquaintances in their homelands, bonded by esteem and affection to Barbara and Sonia, today guardians of the historic hospitality of bagno Ettore 68, and to the entire city.
Stories like that of Fabrizio and Maria Angela testify that Riccione is not just a tourist destination, but a place of the soul where bonds, families, and memories are born and passed down from generation to generation.
