Bologna, July 29, 2026 – It was not even 10 PM last night on via Petroni, just a stone’s throw from piazza Verdi when bottle blows and shouting scared the residents to death and caught their attention.
For trivial reasons, a quarrel between three foreigners would have started, although some residents report more than a dozen people involved in total. From what is learned, there would still be three violent individuals who were the protagonists of throwing broken glass bottles on the ground during the fight.
One injured
But not only that. At the height of the tension, one of the young people involved, a 24-year-old Algerian, was physically attacked and injured in the face with a shard of bottle by one of the rivals. The alarm from the residents immediately brought some State Police patrols to the scene who intervened finding the disfigured Algerian still bleeding on site.

However, upon the arrival of the officers, it turned out that the protagonists of the aggression had already fled, leaving the injured on via Petroni. To assist the Algerian on site, the 118 ambulance also intervened, on board which the young man was then transferred to the Maggiore hospital. The State Police are investigating the incident to track down the perpetrators of the aggression and participants in the fight.
