Predappio (Forlì-Cesena), August 8, 2026 – An afternoon of fear and dismay was experienced in the heart of Predappio, where a serious road accident suddenly blocked traffic on the main street of the town. Around 6:30 PM, along Viale Matteotti, a car became the protagonist of an impressive pile-up among vehicles stopped along the roadway. The dynamics of the impact are incredible: the out-of-control vehicle violently hit some parked cars with such force that it lifted one car off the ground, which then came to rest on the hood of another adjacent vehicle. After the chain collision, the car responsible for the accident ended its run by overturning in the middle of the road. Despite the dramatic scene, the driver of the overturned car exited the vehicle on his own and on his own feet, miraculously remaining uninjured. The man also refused the intervention and care of the 118 paramedics, who arrived promptly on the scene to provide first aid. The repercussions on local traffic were severe. At the accident site, medical rescue teams, the Local Police to carry out legal surveys and manage traffic, and the Fire Brigade, engaged in the complex operations of removing the involved vehicles and securing the entire area, intervened. The town’s main artery was completely blocked, with very long queues that paralyzed the entire road network of Predappio, where disruptions and slowdowns are still ongoing awaiting the restoration of normal traffic flow.
