Pesaro, August 29, 2026 – Vandals unleashed during the night in the Levante area: they even chose paint matching the colors of the beach establishments. Fish and guts scattered in front of offices and services, sunbeds and umbrellas cut and deck chairs taken away. This is the signature left by the raid that struck several beach establishments during the night between Thursday and Friday. The police are investigating to identify those responsible.
“They cut a lot of sunbeds and umbrellas”
At Bagni Irene the vandals left traces of yellow paint and also attacked the establishment’s equipment. “They cut a lot of sunbeds and umbrellas, I don’t know if with a knife or a cutter, and smeared them with paint – says Raffaella Raffaelli, one of the partners of Bagni Irene –. They caused quite a bit of damage. Now we will have to redo the umbrella and sunbed covers. I have already filed a report and opened a claim with the insurance.” The paint used recalls the colors of the targeted establishments. “When I heard that at Bagni Gilberto (a neighboring establishment ed.) they had used blue paint, I made a joke: yellow at ours, to match. Gilberto has blue umbrellas, we have yellow and green ones.”
Fish scraps and guts around the office area
At Bagni Irene fish scraps and guts were also thrown around the office and service area. The raid is said to have taken place in the dead of night. “We have security until a certain hour – Raffaelli explains further –. Yesterday, since everything was calm, it left at 3, otherwise it stays until 4. So they came after 3.” Not far away Bagni Gilberto was also hit. Here the vandals used blue paint, smearing furniture and equipment of the establishment, including the umbrellas. Stefano Tombari, the owner, would like more night controls also on the beach to prevent establishments from becoming targets of raids like this at night. “We have some suspects about who it might have been – comments Stefano Tombari -. More controls are needed, anyone can enter the beach and do whatever they want. I have been saying this for a long time.”
The report
The vandals also struck other establishments, where some deck chairs were taken away, umbrellas uprooted and equipment damaged. A report was filed with the police about the night of vandalism. Investigations are underway to clarify whether the same hand is behind the different episodes. Footage from any surveillance systems that may have recorded the vandals in action will also be scrutinized.
