Rimini, August 24, 2026 – Tomorrow at the church of San Giuliano the funeral of Laura Dominici, a 29-year-old from Rimini who died due to a disease she had been battling for a long time, will take place.
Laura passed away on Saturday and the news of her death quickly spread throughout the city, also because she was very well known.
She worked as a nurse at the hospital, and for three years she dived with the sports diving association ‘Gian Neri’ of Rimini.
Friends: “Laura had the strength of a lion, she never gave up in the face of challenges”
“Anyone of us who had the privilege to meet her, in and out of the water, will always carry with them the memory of a bright, strong girl, curious about the world, always ready to listen and lend a hand – remember the friends from ‘Gian Neri’ – Laura had the strength of a lion and she never gave up in the face of the challenges and difficulties life put before her. She was a tenacious and spirited person, just like the waves of the sea.”

“The passion for the sea is what unites the people who are part of this society, and it is precisely thanks to this passion that we had the opportunity and the fortune to know Laura, a girl who deeply loved the sea and carried it within her – they continue -. Today, it is we who must be strong. We must continue to dive, to explore that world she loved so much, always carrying Laura, her smile, and her strength with us, imagining that she will always be by our side, in some way, sharing that wonder.”

The pain of the family and boyfriend Eric: “She was a special being”
Many messages of condolence have arrived for the family, father Floriano and mother Serenella, and siblings Daniele and Claudia.
The mass for Laura will be held on Tuesday, August 25 at 10 at the church of the San Giuliano district, where Laura lived with her boyfriend Eric Paganelli. “In our immense sorrow, we find comfort in receiving the affection of so many people towards our dearest Laura – says mother Serenella Costantini – Laura was a special being who with her light sowed so much love. Her soul will continue to do so from a place still invisible to us.”
