Pesaro, August 24, 2026 – During the night there was another break in the main aqueduct, this time in the Carrara area, in Fano. The Marche Multiservizi teams intervened to repair the fault and restore the full functionality of the network as soon as possible.
At the moment there are no interruptions in water supply in Pesaro. Service continuity is guaranteed by the San Gaetano reservoir, which supplies Pesaro and the surrounding municipalities, but until it is completely filled, pressure drops or temporary interruptions cannot be excluded in some areas of the city in the coming hours, especially in the hilly areas.

The Municipality therefore invites citizens to use water with care and civic sense, limiting consumption to the bare minimum and avoiding waste and hoarding.
“We are constantly monitoring the situation and, if necessary, the activation of the tanker truck service is also planned,” it communicates.

Fourth fault
This is the fourth fault within ten days. The day of Ferragosto in particular was difficult for Pesaro and the valley municipalities with the second fault (the first one the night before was almost immediately resolved), but also the following days with the third. All due to the drought that hardened the ground and put the pipes under severe stress.
The lack of running water for hours and, in some cases, days has severely tested the local population who had no water for washing, cooking, or any other need.
For this reason, there was a rush to buy bottled water or to obtain water through tanker trucks made available by the Municipality. A blow to tourism: some vacationers left, with consequent criticism: “What a disgrace,” some commented.
