Casalfiumanese (Bologna), September 2, 2026 – Sigfrido Ranucci arrives in Casalfiumanese and the town is preparing for the most delicate evening of the summer. Tomorrow, Thursday, September 3, around 8 PM the journalist is expected at the Villa Manusardi park for the final appointment of the Casale Cineforum, with ‘Diary of a trapeze artist – Chronicles of resilience of a reporter’. An event that ended up at the center of a political debate and particular attention on the security front.

The Municipality has arranged several measures. The Nardo Cavina sports field will be a parking area, while Piazza della Solidarietà will be reserved for authorized persons. Smoking, fires, and activities that could cause fires are prohibited in the park.
For the event it is also forbidden to bring glass bottles and glasses, cans, smoke bombs, pyrotechnic articles, laser pointers, unauthorized drones, and self-defense spray devices. A smoking area has also been identified.
These measures add to the device agreed with the police forces: the event will be monitored by the carabinieri. At the moment, however, there are no signs of specific threats or particular situations. The evening comes after eventful weeks.

On this ground, the controversy of Brothers of Italy arose, which submitted inquiries to the Municipality and Region asking for clarifications on sponsorship and public support.
Marta Evangelisti spoke of a “political catwalk” and criticized the deployment of the police forces. From the M5S, regional councilor Lorenzo Casadei instead defended the initiative and Ranucci’s right to be heard.
