Cervia (Ravenna), September 5, 2026 – A sinkhole opened on via Caduti per la Libertà, at number 125, following the rupture of a water pipe. A vehicle was involved in the collapse of the roadbed: the driver emerged unharmed from the incident.

Road closed
Technicians and operators in charge arrived on site and are following the operations to secure the area and remove the vehicle from the sinkhole. The road has been closed exiting the center, with vehicle traffic diverted to via Milazzo and via Fusconi; on entry, traffic is diverted to via Fienilone, as via Tritone is closed for Oktoberfest. The detours are indicated by appropriate signage, while drivers are advised to pay attention and follow the designated alternative routes.
Water supply suspended
Due to the intervention, water supply has been suspended on the section of via Caduti per la Libertà between the Vincenzo Giudice roundabout on viale Milazzo and number 125.
Hera is working to restore the supply as soon as possible. Updates on the reopening of the road will be communicated after the necessary checks and interventions are completed.
