The alarm
The alarm was raised around 5 p.m. yesterday, when the carabinieri from the Medicina station and colleagues from the operational and radiomobile unit of the Imola company intervened on the scene, together with the 118 medical staff. The young man had numerous and deep cutting wounds, which, according to initial investigations, would be attributable to an assault by a person currently unknown.
The 28-year-old is in serious condition
The condition of the 28-year-old appeared immediately particularly serious. After the first aid on site, the medical staff arranged for the urgent transfer by helicopter to the emergency room of the Maggiore hospital in Bologna, where the young man was admitted. The prognosis remains reserved and his condition is considered at risk.
Meanwhile, in Medicina, investigations have been launched to reconstruct what happened. The technical-scientific surveys were carried out by the carabinieri of the scientific investigations section of the Bologna investigative unit, who intervened to collect and examine elements useful to the investigations.
Hunt for the attacker
At the moment, the person responsible for the assault has not been identified. The military police are trying to reconstruct the dynamics of the episode and establish what happened before the 28-year-old managed to raise the alarm. The investigations, coordinated by the judicial authority, therefore continue to identify the perpetrator or perpetrators and clarify the motive for the assault.
