Bologna, September 8, 2026 – The Bolognina case ends up at the Prefecture: the Committee for public order and security, dedicated to what happens in the historic area of the Navile district, will be held on Monday, September 14, in the afternoon hours. After the request for a meeting by the Municipality, it is Palazzo Caprara that announces the date for the ad hoc table has been set. And in view of the meeting, “all useful information is being gathered for a more thoughtful overall examination.”

But this time may it be truly decisive.” This is what the residents and shopkeepers of Bolognina hope for following the news of the convocation of the Committee for public order which will focus on the ‘Bolognina case,’ as requested by the municipal administration. Many, seeing the high attention on that neighborhood area, raise a new proposal: “Keep the police station on via Di Vincenzo open also during nighttime hours.”
The voices of the Committees
There is agreement on this among the voices coming from the various local Committees. Like Bolognina Sicura: “We are satisfied with the open post, with which the area has improved, at least during the day in the stretch from via Carracci to via Fioravanti – says the representative Patrizia Sardella –. But having it open also at night would be more effective, considering that we are in a state of emergency.” For Simona Bentivogli of Progetto Bolognina, the nighttime opening of the post would be “also useful for shopkeepers, who find everything outside their businesses in the morning. We are happy about the table, but over the years there have been many. Now the outcomes must be productive and decisive.”

“We ask for the nighttime opening of the post also at night in order to make it more effective – says Giancarlo Morisi of the Il Guercino hotel –. It is necessary to report those who buy drugs, not only those who deal.” From the Bolognina Storica committee, a member reports that the convocation of the table “is proof that the complaints of the citizens of via Carracci and via Fioravanti were well-founded. The problems afflicting that area are structural and are the direct result of years of tolerated decay and socio-health centers left without structure or an adequate security plan.”
