The case of fake certificates for immigrants

An investigation carried out to deepen the case of fake certificates issued to avoid sending immigrants to CPRs. According to what is known, none of the seven doctors subject to the search is under investigation, this morning a search activity was carried out at their respective homes for documentation and devices considered relevant for the investigation headed by Ravenna and Rome, to which the seized material was then transmitted.

The anger of the collectives: the sit-in

The activity, however, sparked in Bologna the anger of the collectives, with a protest sit-in organized in front of the police headquarters in Piazza Galilei. “Very serious events took place at dawn – explain the representatives of the Popular Health Laboratory present at the sit-in – against some infectious disease colleagues who were searched in their homes and then taken to the police headquarters. We are here in solidarity with these colleagues, but above all to say that our role of care and the role of healthcare workers cannot be bent to the requests of a State that intends to confine people inside these places that make them sick and produce death.”

“Let’s protect health”

The Popular Health Laboratory then emphasizes how the “pathogenicity” of the CPRs has now been “witnessed by a vast literature, so we simply follow the ethical code of our profession, which requires us to always promote in every situation the protection of the health of the people we meet in our professional path.” Consequently, it is “unacceptable to be accused of such a serious charge that is essentially unfounded from both an ethical and legal point of view.” Representatives of Ya Basta were also present, for whom “it is difficult not to see a connection also with what happened here in Bologna with Fakir. The Government intervenes in more and more areas of society with a repressive and deadly logic. And no one can get in the way. We see a resurgence.” During the sit-in, “interventions and positions from the Medical Association” were also called for.

The collectives have finally already announced a protest demonstration to be held today (Wednesday), at 6 pm in Piazza Nettuno: among the organizers are Cgil, “Mediterranea”, “Sanitari per Gaza” and “Prometeo”
