When it happened
It all started around midnight. A group of kids was riding around the area on their scooters. According to investigators, the noise of the scooters disturbed the fifty-year-old man enough to convince him to intervene. The man then went down to the street with an eighty-centimeter rolling pin and a pair of scissors. Once he spotted the group of young people, he stopped them. He threw the scissors at one of them, but did not injure him. Another was hit on the elbow with the rolling pin.
The intervention of the carabinieri
After a few moments of chaos, the alarm was raised. The call to the carabinieri came from both the kids themselves and their parents, who had meanwhile been informed of what was happening. The 50-year-old released
Yesterday morning, the fifty-year-old appeared in court for the hearing to validate the arrest. Assisted by lawyer Maurizio Brugnatti, he did not answer the judge’s questions but made some spontaneous statements. At the end of the hearing, the judge did not validate the arrest as he considered the flagrancy to be lacking. The man was then released.
