Padua, August 28, 2026 _ A very violent hailstorm hit yesterday, around 5:30 PM, in the territory of Abano, a town in the province of Padua. The sky suddenly turned black, a very strong thunderstorm, then hailstones as big as golf balls.
Severe damage to cars, with ‘dents’ on the bodywork, in some cases broken, shattered windows. Panic in the thermal pools, tourists fled inside the accommodation facilities, under the gazebos to avoid being hit by that long burst that whitened the landscape. “Lawns and sidewalks covered with hail, like a snowfall.
