Cesena, August 2, 2026 – They are called Hoop, Pooh spelled backwards, and they are gaining success in theaters, squares, and summer festivals throughout Italy. The band was born in 2020 from an idea by the Bolognese singer Roberto Tomasi, a professional and finalist on The Voice Senior 2020, with the goal of paying tribute to one of the most beloved groups in Italian music. Their debut dates back to 2021 at the Parco degli Artisti in Rimini. Since then, their engagements have multiplied, accompanied by constant audience appreciation.
The lineup (in the photo) consists of Roberto Tomasi (vocals), Luca Bongiorni from Bellaria (vocals and keyboards), Antonio Argento from Ravenna (guitar), Francesco Dubbini from Pesaro (piano and vocals), Nicolas Biondini from Forlì (bass) and Valerio Rotondale from Cesenatico (drums and vocals).

“The Pooh – they explain – are not only a heritage of great songs, but also an example of professionalism and humility.” The band is very followed on social media, with thousands of followers and a growing fan club. During concerts, about thirty songs are performed in two hours. The most requested remain timeless classics like Pensiero, Chi fermerà la musica, and Uomini soli. “We are a tribute band and not a cover band – Tomasi clarifies –. Our is a musical tribute, not an imitation.” The summer tour continues throughout Italy and the next appointment in Romagna is on August 13 in Bellaria.
