Imola, September 1, 2026 – She waited for the caregiver to go out on some errands, then, taking advantage of her absence, she killed her husband with stabbings. The man was repeatedly struck by his wife, 78 years old, his contemporary. A tragedy that, according to initial reports, was linked to the illness that had afflicted the husband for some time.
The investigation is being carried out by the carabinieri of the Imola Company, who arrived at the couple’s home, on via Bellini after the alarmed call from the caregiver.
The caregiver found the man dead in bed
The woman, in fact, upon returning home, would have found the man already dead in bed and the wife nearby in a state of shock.
The investigators, in close contact with prosecutor Ceroni, are proceeding with the usual seizures and collecting the necessary testimonies to ascertain that the motive is indeed the man’s illness. The woman is at the disposal of the carabinieri.
