Sassuolo (Modena), September 1, 2026 – A tragedy could have occurred during a quarrel between two brothers in the early afternoon in Sassuolo. In fact, one of them, a 27-year-old man, in an attempt to escape the aggression of the other, who was rummaging through the kitchen drawers looking for a knife, jumped out of the window. Despite the fall of over four meters, fortunately the victim is not in life-threatening condition. The incident took place in a building at via Rocca 6, in Sassuolo.

The rush of the paramedics
The young man, 27 years old, was immediately assisted by the 118 paramedics, who arrived on the scene with an emergency doctor vehicle and ambulance and was transported to the Baggiovara hospital in red code. Although injured, the victim’s condition – originally from Burkina Faso – fortunately is not serious and, once recovered from the shock, he told the investigators what happened.
The aggressor questioned by investigators
The young man, in fact, lives with his brother who suffers from psychiatric disorders. It seems that today the aggressor, following a violent quarrel, lost control, chasing the 27-year-old and then trying to grab a knife.
Fearing for his safety, frightened, the young man threw himself out of the window, fortunately landing on a sort of small terrace. Police officers from the Sassuolo precinct, along with forensic experts and the duty prosecutor, also rushed to the scene.
The aggressor was then taken to the police station to be questioned by the investigators: he will be reported for attempted injury. It is learned that the brothers have been living for some time in the apartment where the drama took place, but the aggressor had already been involved in violent episodes in the past
