Bologna, September 12, 2026 – Not only “fascists and racists, go back to the sewers,” shouted against the ’anti-degradation’ influencers who tried to venture into Bolognina, receiving in return the protest of antifascist activists and well-known faces of the collectives. But also the throwing of stones aimed at the ’crew’, composed of the influencer Omo ’Jollytime’ and the ’colleagues’ of Dutch Travel Maniac (Dutch with over a million followers, appreciated by the right-wing party Forum voor Democratie), while escorted by a squad of the police Mobile Unit leaving via Di Vincenzo to take refuge at the station.

The high-tension afternoon that blocked Bolognina on Thursday ended like this: with the content creators leaving the area and someone, among the group of protesters, throwing some stones in their direction. As reported on social media and captured in a video by the Nigerian web personality, also shared by the other influencers who were with him.

A gesture for which Omo will file a complaint today, but which in the meantime unleashes the anger of the center-right. Noting, among the activists united against Omo and company, still in a standoff in front of the police post, the presence of the Civic Coalition group leader Detjon Begaj. “Among the violent protesters who apparently also threw stones at the TikTokers and Jollytime, his presence has also been reported to us – he attacks –. So are these subjects orchestrated by the far left that supports Lepore? After inciting the square for Fakir, with the devastation seen downtown, someone who is part of the left-wing majority still hides among the violent. Lepore should cut all ties with violent movements. Maximum solidarity with the attacked young people, to whom we believe full freedom of expression must be guaranteed”.

Begaj was indeed present at the protest during the standoff on via Di Vincenzo, as he himself had also announced on social media. Where he explained that “going towards the Civic Coalition headquarters in Bolognina, I found myself in front of an absurd scene – wrote the Civic Coalition group leader –. Jollytime and other foreign influencers, followed by xenophobic, racist and neo-fascist environments, were doing a sort of social patrol in the neighborhood, surrounded by police vans”. An image in front of which “citizens and activists reacted with a spontaneous sit-in, asking them to leave. It was a provocation built to gain followers, views and monetization, on the backs of working-class neighborhoods, marginalized people and fear. Security turned into a social reality show produced only tension and insecurity. And the choice to escort them to the station, making them pass through the sit-in and traffic, could have ended very badly. Stop turning neighborhoods into the set for these characters”.
