Faenza, September 11, 2026 – A tragic road accident occurred around 5 p.m. in Faenza, along the provincial road Pana, near the intersection with via Cassanigo and the Naldoni plant. In the crash, a 22-year-old motorcyclist from Solarolo lost his life and two people were injured who were traveling in one of the two vehicles involved in the accident. The impact involved three vehicles: a Yamaha motorcycle, ridden by the 22-year-old, a Volvo V70 with Dutch license plates, occupied by a family and driven by a man in his sixties, and a Peugeot driven by a woman.

The reconstruction
According to a very preliminary reconstruction, it seems that the Volvo V70 was traveling from Faenza towards Solarolo, while the motorcycle was traveling in the opposite direction when the crash occurred, which also involved the Peugeot that may have come from via Cassanigo. Due to the very violent impact, the motorcyclist was thrown several meters from the roadway.
The rescue
The intervention of the emergency services was immediate, with 118 personnel arriving on the scene by ambulance and helicopter. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done for the motorcyclist and the doctor could only confirm his death.

Two occupants of the Volvo V70 were transported to the ‘Bufalini’ hospital in Cesena but are not in life-threatening condition.
On site, for legal investigations and necessary checks, the Ravenna Traffic Police officers intervened, who will reconstruct the exact dynamics of the accident, supported in traffic management by a patrol from the Faenza Police Station and personnel from the Local Police of the Romagna Faentina Union.
