Cervia (Ravenna), September 14, 2026 – The 17-year-old accused of participating in the murder of Nicola Musiani, the 53-year-old killed in August in Pinarella di Cervia, beaten to death by a group of people in complicity with the minor, is released from the juvenile detention center.
Previously, four other young adults had also been arrested as part of the investigations by the Ravenna Prosecutor’s Office. The decision to release the minor and grant him the precautionary measure of house arrest was made by Judge Anna Filocamo, following
the outcome of the guarantee interrogation held in recent days, accepting the defense requests, lawyer Renato Cappelli.
The judge reportedly considered the attenuated and reduced accusatory framework, the lawyer said, and the boy’s cooperative attitude. The defense is preparing a request in the coming days for the boy to be authorized to leave house arrest for study reasons, to attend school.
The facts

Nicola Musiani died at the Cesena hospital 3 days after a brutal beating in the square of Viale Tritone in Pinarella di Cervia on July 19. He lived there, inside his camper. The 17-year-old was arrested on September 3.
According to the prosecutor, the first spark ignited around 11:30 p.m. on July 18: the 17-year-old – about to enter a local nightclub – approached Musiani without any reason and called him a “junkie,” thus triggering the first argument. Then at 4 a.m., leaving the club, the 17-year-old, holding a bottle, came back at the 53-year-old . Backing him up, other young people mostly got out of a Fiat Punto. Cells, testimonies, identifications, and three videos (two made with cell phones and one from a truck dash cam in the parking lot) allowed the Carabinieri – coordinated by prosecutor Angela Scorza – to also identify the 17-year-old, who was then transferred to the juvenile prosecutor’s office. The young man must also answer for the damages inflicted on the seasonal worker’s camper (a 50-year-old from Cesena) who was with Musiani that night. And for attempted injuries against him for trying to get him out of the vehicle to beat him as well.
