Carpi (Modena), August 19, 2026 – A gun held at the wheel, a neomelodic song and the shadow of ‘Gomorra’ as the soundtrack outside the ex-mother-in-law’s house. This is how the dangerous spiral of intimidations that turned the life of a thirty-five-year-old woman from Carpi and her family into a high-tension nightmare ended, behind the gates of the prison. The local Carabinieri Station arrested the woman’s ex-husband, executing a precautionary custody order in prison issued Saturday by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations of the Modena Court, at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
The end of the marriage
The story began in 2024, right after the end of a marriage that lasted over fifteen years. From that moment, the man’s resentment turned into a hammering obsession: constant tailing, calls at all hours, photos of the woman’s car, and vandalism.

The conviction
An escalation that had already led the judicial authority to order removal with an electronic bracelet, culminating in 2025 with a final conviction. However, not even the conviction stopped the stalker, who recently raised the stakes by exploiting social media and engaging in even more aggressive behavior.
The video on TikTok
The most disturbing episode saw the man post on TikTok a video in which he filmed himself while passing in front of the ex-mother-in-law’s house. With one hand on the wheel and the other brandishing what appeared to be a firearm, the suspect chose as background a Neapolitan song made famous by ‘Gomorra’, known for lyrics evoking violence, settling scores, and death threats, greatly amplifying the intimidating impact of the act.

The raids outside the house
Added to this were further and very serious provocations: posting images of the daughters on the web with the caption ‘Soon it will all end,’ two raids shouting outside the ex-mother-in-law’s house to demand that the entire family leave the city, and sending ephemeral messages to relatives. In these communications, he gave one month to evacuate Carpi, claiming that ‘this is what God has decided,’ even demanding that the family members change their surname in order to stay.
The Carabinieri investigations
At the same time, the violation of the absolute ban on communicating with the minor daughter was ascertained. Faced with this imminent danger, the victim turned to the Carabinieri of Carpi to file a new complaint. The prompt investigative work of the officers and the seriousness of the facts led the judiciary to request immediate imprisonment, putting an end to the spiral of terror and finally securing the woman and her loved ones.
