About a hundred people in Roosevelt Square
About a hundred people gathered from 3 PM in Roosevelt Square alongside the organizers of the sit-in, a group of anti-degradation influencers including Simone Carabella and Omo, known on social media as Jolly Time. Also present was the autonomous union organization (Osa) of State Police personnel, with Antonio Porto, national general secretary. Matteo Di Benedetto, Lega group leader, also spoke at the microphone. Among those present was also Daniela Francesca Amendola, spokesperson for Futuro Nazionale. Two Vannacciani, with the party flags tied, were asked by one of the organizers to remove the banners.
Shocking words about Fakir and the controversy
At the center of one of the speeches was also the death of Abderrahim Fakir, the 42-year-old who died in Pilastro on July 19: Eterno, one of the promoters of the initiative, claims that Fakir “died because he was on crack. If he hadn’t been on crack, he would probably be here among us. So thanks to the law enforcement: they removed, rest his soul, a problem from the streets.” The sit-in ended with the national anthem, without particular protests.
