Husband and wife hit while crossing the street: they are in life-threatening condition

Imola, September 9, 2026 – Road accident in Imola, at number 44 of Viale Giovanni Amendola. It is not yet clear what happened, probably a hit-and-run. Two people were crossing the street and the serious accident occurred with a motorist heading downtown.

The pedestrians are a couple in their sixties, residents of Imola. They were assisted by 118 emergency medical personnel, urgently transported to the Emergency Room of the Maggiore Hospital of Bologna and admitted to intensive care in life-threatening condition.

The accident occurred at about 7:15 PM on September 8, 2026, the Carabinieri of the Imola Radiomobile Operational Unit intervened to manage traffic and reconstruct the dynamics.
